29 Weeks...

Today we had another ultrasound to check both Tristan and Titan's amniotic fluid and both are measuring right on track. They are also both head down. Tristan's face is down and towards the right making it difficult to see his face and Titan's face up with his head against Tristan's back. The ultrasound tech was able to see that the babies have hair on the back of their heads....crazy because I was really bald. My doctor and I discussed my delivery options once again and yes, I am planning on a C-Section although they can be delivered vaginally. He asked me when I wanted them delivered and we agreed on 36 weeks, which will be around the middle of September...only 7 more weeks to go! As much as I love having them in me, I am looking forward to seeing my toes again. I have gained X lbs and am feeling like a hippo. I am only 4lbs lighter than my husband which at times is very entertaining, like when he tries to help me off the table at the doctors office. He tries to pull me up but ends up falling toward me, now that should make me feel real good about myself ... I bet he would still win in an arm wrestle though. Both Jeremy and I have really enjoyed my pregnancy. He reads and sings to them every night and we both just love to watch my belly when the boys are really active.

We both still have a lot of planning and preparing to do. I have to finish decorating the nursery, have my baby shower, pack a bag for the hospital, buy car seats, etc. It is really difficult to do these things and still be on bed rest. If it weren't for my neighbor and good friend Stephanie, I would have probably gone in sane already. I am so grateful for all my friends and family that have been here for me and have supported us through out our pregnancy.

I will see my OB again next Thursday and the Dermatologist on Friday for a mole removal (fun for me) and will post again then.

28 week OB appointment

Baby B = Titan

Baby A = Tristan

We saw our OB for our 28 week visit on Thursday, both babies are head down once again. I don't think Titan can make up his mind which direction he wants to be in. But then again with Tristan's hands and feet always in his face, can you blame him? At this appointment we had the babies position checked as well as my cervical length and both were right on target. My doctor said the babies won't be coming anytime soon and that he thinks we have a chance of going full term, which is 37 weeks with Twins. He said he will take them around September 20th if I haven't had them sooner. I told him he might as well take them on September 19th...my birthday!

He was very pleased with the results from Monday's appointment. He said what ever I was doing to continue... Bed rest and Boost!

I am very happy the boys won't be as early as they expected but at the same time I had 34 weeks in mind not 37. I have recently began to feel the unpleasant effects of pregnancy...the itchy belly, sore legs and feet and puffy hands and face. I just hope that I can be patient enough to endure full term if necessary.

28 Weeks...

We are happy to be back from Utah Valley. Our appointment went well. The boys are both weighing in at 2lbs 11oz's. They both have generous amounts of fluid but nothing to be concerned about. Dr Gainer at Utah Valley has turned us back over to our OB here in St. George, Yes...that means we get to deliver here at Dixie! Neither of our doctors think we will deliver anytime soon so we have decided to have our baby shower on Saturday August 15th. My belly is so big that I keep getting asked if I am ready to pop? "No, three months to go" is what I say just to watch their jaws drop. While up north we shopped around for car seats and a double stroller but still haven't been able to narrow it down. It is getting more and more difficult to ride in the car and be out and about, so my husband thought he would take a picture of how I shop these days (by motorized vehicle). With all the extra weight my knees and feet ache if I am up too long...poor excuse, not to mention I almost weigh as much as my husband.
We see our OB again on Thursday and will hopefully get more ultrasound pictures to post.
sorry pictures aren't posting, will try again later.

27 Weeks...

Here is a picture of Tristan with Titan's foot in his face. Tristan is head down on the left and Titan is head up on the right. We had my cervix checked and it is remaining long and closed. My doctor said we can stay here to deliver as long as next weeks appointment up at Utah Valley goes well and as long as the boys are measuring close.
I was able to run some errands today after my doctors appointment. I went to register and license the pilot and about had a heart attack when she told me the balance...$1277.25. I was only able to get a temporary license because we don't have the title yet, but that also gives me more time to decide on my personalized plates. I am having a hard time trying to decide what to put on them, so if any of you have advice, I would love to hear it!

My Mate!

I recently realized that my husband and I haven't had but two pictures together since I've been pregnant, so here is the most recent one. The other pictures were posted back in May for our Anniversary. We used to take pictures together all the time. Since I have been pregnant, taking pictures are the last thing I want to be doing; however I do want them for memories.

Mommy Mobile for Tristan and Titan

We finally decided to go ahead and buy this Honda Pilot, it felt like the hardest decision I have had to make in a long time. Now that we have the babies to worry about, decisions don't come as easy. It has a lot of extras that we probably don't need but we couldn't pass up the good deal. Leather seats were a must because of all the spills that I am sure we'll have. I know how HOT black can get, especially down here in Southern Utah but the tinted windows and automatic climate control should help. Jeremy was finally able to sell his truck. As we were at the bank signing papers for the Honda, Jeremy received a phone call for an offer on his truck. We took a loss on the truck but scored a good deal for the Honda so we feel we broke even.
This week we are going to shop for car seats to go in the Mommy Mobile as well as a twin stroller. My neighbor Stephanie and I have been trying to find a good time to have a baby shower but there seems to always be something that stands in our way. Tomorrow we are going to have a garage sale and hopefully be able to clear out some room in our garage. I was able to go to the pool yesterday for a few hours, I don't know what I enjoyed more... the sun tanning or the weightless freedom. I hope to be able to get to the pool at least twice a week. I will be seeing my OB on Monday and will post again then.

26 Weeks...

Yeah...we are so happy to be at 26 weeks. We still have a long way to go but at least we're getting closer! We went up to Utah Valley Hospital for our 26 week appointment yesterday to have Tristan's amniotic fluid checked... so far so good. It has increased slightly but not to a level of real concern. We were a little confused with the information given from our last trip up north, on which baby had the extra amniotic fluid and which baby had the two vessel cord. We are now calling the babies by their names because it is easier to tell them apart rather than using baby A and baby B. So let me explain...baby B in the past was Tristan and he is on my left side. He is the one with extra fluid (9.9 cm) and a two vessel cord, the smaller of the two babies. Baby A, which we call Titan has about 3 to 4 cm of fluid in his sac and has a three vessel cord, making him the bigger of the two and he is positioned on my right side, he is very very active. We were getting conflicting information from our two doctors and for those of you who don't know, they always call the baby closest to the cervix baby A, so depending on who's closer at the time of the ultrasound gets to be baby A. Now that that is all clear, we are doing well. The road trips are long and uncomfortable most of the time and we are hoping we don't have to do them much longer. The doctor up at Utah Valley told me to plan on delivering up there but I don't know that I feel comfortable having just any doctor deliver me. She said who ever was on call for the day would be the one to deliver, either a family doctor or an OB. I would much rather deliver here at home for many reasons.
1. I am already established with my OB down here and he knows my history/situation.
2. If I deliver down here , I will be able to come home and sleep in my own bed, shower in my own shower, etc.
3. After having a C-Section, they don't let you drive so I wouldn't be able to see the babies as often as I would like.
4. If I deliver up north Jeremy may not make it in time for the delivery and would only be able to see us on the weekends.
5. And what if one baby got discharged to go home and the other had to stay...then who would baby sit the one so I could see the other?
6. If I delivered up north I would most likely have to stay up there until October (their due date).
7. There are many reasons why I would rather stay home to delivery!

Any way we are all doing great and I still feel fantastic. Tristan's head is really low and occasionally causes cramps so I called my OB to see if I could sneak out of the house and into the pool to try and relieve some of the pressure...thankfully he was okay with that!
We will see our OB on Monday and will post again then.
Again thanks for your love and support!
