16 Weeks!

Here are a few pictures from today's ultrasound. You can see that baby A's bottom is still in baby B's face. They are doing well and growing equally. I had to call the doctor Saturday morning because I was having frequent contractions, he had me meet him at his office for a quick ultrasound to make sure they were okay and thank heaven they were. My contractions began to ease after a little ibuprophen and haven't had any since. I am feeling the babies move a lot more now and am always relieved when they do. I am still enjoying bed rest...watched all my movies twice and thanks to friends and family have watched theirs too. I am finishing up with finals this week with one more paper to write and two online finals.
I want to thank all my class mates for coming to see me on the last day of class for class pictures.

15 Weeks...

We went in for our routine ultrasound on Monday and the doctor was able to tell us that we are having BOYS! They are growing equally and doing well. I have gained 3lbs in the last week, without the help of McDonald's(thank goodness). My husband continues to feed me as if I were feeding for five. He just really wants to make sure these two get as big and healthy as possible. Again thanks for all your prayers and support. We love you!

Short update...

As many of you know, we lost two babies last week. We went in to see the Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist on Thursday afternoon to find that babies A and B no longer had heart beats(miss informed about which babies we lost). As you can imagine this past week has been extremely hard for Jeremy and I. We just want to Thank all of you for your love, prayers, support, concerns, etc. We seen our OB this morning for our weekly ultrasound and babies C and D are doing well. I am still having contractions and have been put on bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy. I will try to finish out my school work but won't be walking with my class at graduation. Our doctor said that we are still not out of the woods and that I will continue to have weekly ultrasounds. Babies A and B will remain in the womb along with babies C and D. I would love to have visitors so call anytime you want to come over and visit. Please continue to pray for babies C and D and I will continue to post as often as I can.

ER Visit...

Yesterday I went to the ER to do some clinical hours and ended up as a patient. I had been having frequent PVC's for the past 24 hours along with a headache. I became a little nervous only because I would get real short of breath with each episode of PVC's. I called my doctor on the way to the ER and he wanted me to be seen in the ER for monitoring of my heart...funny how I was headed there anyway. As soon as I got there my friends were so excited to see me, they didn't realized I was there to be seen as a patient. After getting orders from the ER doctor, nurse Phillis quickly took me to a room and began hooking me up to the heart monitor. Nurse Trudy started an IV and drew some labs. I had three EKG's done and of course my heart would only show a single PVC on occasion. My labs came back showing increased WBC's indicating an infection. My urine came back negative and my AST and ALT were slightly elevated, but the doctor was still unable to determine the cause of infection. He did however determine that the fever and infection are the cause of my frequent PVC's. The ER doctor didn't want to start me on any antibiotics until we know the source, nor did he want to take any unnecessary x-rays. He did however give me some percocet for my headache, which only seemed to help for a short time. I asked to be called off from work today so I could just rest. So far I feel pretty good, still have a headache and have only had a one episode of PVC's. I want to Thank all my ER friends Penny, Trudy, Bridget, Phillis, Brenda, Karen, Darrick, Linda, Dr. Stan, Gina, Cami, Jeff, and anyone else I may have left out for taking such good care of me. I would also like to thank Rhett and Thone for giving me a blessing, and my wonderful husband for always being there for me. He is currently at the grocery store buying more food for me...I'm craving a grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, and apple juice.
Although we had a minor scare yesterday this week has been overall a good week, I felt the babies move for the first time and they just love when I feed them!
